Couple of caveats:  If you are looking for a vinyl transfer up to the quality of some of the greats
that share here, this will not measure up.  If you are looking for vinyl rip that will make you pack your CD copies
away, this is not that either.  The original pressing of TABFSF is flat and lacks dynamics.  The 2014 Charly 2 CD set is
a must, even after hearing this.  However there are a couple of reasons to grab this.  First, for better or worse, it is
a first pressing transfer.  Side two seems a bit brighter than one.  Plus on the 2014 Charly CD release, tracks 1, 5 and
10 are alternate masters.  Also, Green Circles on all CDs and vinyl reissues has been the U.K. Mix.  The original U.S.
vinyl issue contained a slower and lower pitch version of Green Circles.  It sounds as if the Small Faces were on ludes,
and the Small Faces did not authorize it's release.

The second reason to download this is the inclusion of
Steve/Stephen Marriott's first appearance on record.  Steve was the original Artful Dodger  in London, and as such is on
the first "Oliver!" soundtrack.  The three songs included here are all the songs he takes a lead, and to my
ears especially on "Consider Yourself," you can hear a bit of the future great rock 'n' roll singer.  

Both vinyl sources were recorded using the same Music Hall 5 turntable, and the quality of the
"Oliver!" tracks are brighter that the Small Faces record.  Their inclusion only goes to prove the lack of pop
on the original vinyl of TABFSF.  Both were run through some light Declic.  I'm not one to usually upload commercially
released material, but the "Oliver!" stuff is in public domain, and the Small Faces album is meant as an
addition, not a substitution for the official releases.  Great stuff.  Enjoy!
